- Regarding templates
- I have locked down the entire template namespace because breaking things is very easy. If you want generic wikipedia templates imported, send me a list of the template names (In the format Template:<name>) on irc and I will import them when its convenient. Please don't ask for templates you don't intend to use.
- Once you confirm to me via a PM on IRC that you understand the rules regarding generic templates, I'll move you to a usergroup that allows you to create templates.
- If you discover an error in a generic template, drop me a line on irc and I will fix it when its convenient.

Human life began approximately 200,000 years ago, moving out of Alqosia approximately 125,000 years ago, reaching Leucia around 80,000 yeasr ago and migrating to the northern part of Alisna and Wilassia approximately 50,000 years ago; there was minor interbreeding with neanderthals in Alisna until at least 75,000 years ago, although the neanderthals eventually died out. Evidence of early human civilisations is present in both northern Alqosia and eastern Leucia; the first large human empires began in Guurdalai and modern-day Borgosesia. The first human settlements began around 5,000 years ago in these places.
Early humans worshipped pantheons and typically formed Empires around these pantheons; early states in Alisna, especially around Morieux and Borgosesia, are responsible for the early Alisnan culture. Another recognisably Alisnan culture established itself along, and north of, the Fleckenwalder mountains. The first monotheistic religion, Judaism, began in Karaman while that island was part of the early Sessitenian Empire, around 2,500 years ago; from Judaism, Christianity was developed, which later spread to the whole of Alisna nad northern Wilassia. Michael Christ, the Christian Son of God, was born in Karaman; his birth marks 0 AD, the predominant global dating system. The period after the collapse of the Sessitenian Empire in Alisna was characterised by massive ethnic migrations, internecine warfare, and the establishment of early polities from which modern nation-states are descended.
In Wilassia, (Mongol invasions of the west and south).
A Renaissance began in southern Alisna in the early 16th century, and eventually resulted in an Age of Exploration after the Morivaine revolution, in which various Alisnan nations built empires in Leucia, Alqosia, and southern Wilassia. The industrial revolution spread from Alisna in the late 18th to early 20th centuries, and then to the rest of the world. A series of military conflicts in the early 20th century escalated into the Great War, in which Morieux and the Moravian Empire were victorious, although the latter crumbled in the Pollonan revolution and became modern-day Pollona. The Maredoratic League was founded to prevent further wars, and serve as the basis for a stable international order.
The rest of the 20th century saw the end of the Alisnan empires, as these empires found it increasingly difficult to maintain control of their colonial possessions. Trade barriers were reduced over what historians now call "the short 20th century," between approximately 1950 and 2000, leading to a globalised economy and rapid wealth creation; technology such as the telephone, television and satellite became widespread, leading to the creation of a global culture. The testing of the first nuclear weapons led to the Treaty Against Proliferation of Nuclear Armaments. In 1991, Questers had a Communist revolution, inflaming tensions in Alisna, where there was nearly another war. A civil war in Karaman in 2013 resulted in military conflict, and a global economic crisis later in 2014, from which the world is still recovering. Questers and Prekonate fought a war in Karaman in 2015, but both countries have since withdrawn their forces from the island. In 2017, Morieux and Van Luxemburg occupied Hervenbosch in an international peacekeeping mission.
The world economy was measured at $39,782 billion in 2016; the GDP per capita of an average country was $20,535. Since a period of trade reforms in the 20th century, the global economy has become integrated, and is now buttressed by a system of multi- and bi-lateral agreements tied into the Maredoratic League. Global trade was measured $23,256 billion in 2017, constituting 58% of the global economy. The major trade routes straddle the Maredoratic basin and across south Alisna, with other significant routes moving across the Pearl Sea and the Alqosian Ocean.
The world's major financial and banking hubs are found in Saint-Lô (Morieux), Liberec (Pollona) and Karlskrona (Galla). Most international trade is conducted in Morivaine ecus, the region's major reserve currency.

With the exception of a number of overseas territories mostly located in the Sirenes, the world is divided between sovereign states, after a lengthy period of decolonisation in the 20th century. Most of the countries in the world are part of the Maredoratic League, a supranational organisation which fosters co-operation between nation-states. The League has a legislature, to which there are elections, and a central executive body. Other international organisations include the Brezier Group, an international trade and cultural organisation with nine members, the lingual-cultural Francophone Organisation with seven members, and the Nordic Forum, an inter-governmental discussion forum for the four Nordic countries. The international language of commerce and diplomacy is French, although countries often conduct diplomacy and trade in other mutually-understood languages such as English, German, or Czech.
Morieux is the largest economic and military power, with a political doctrine of supporting multi-party democracy internationally. Prekonate, Van Luxemburg, Pollona, Galla, Questers and Jungastia are often considered great powers. The production of nuclear weapons is restricted under a non-proliferation treaty.
